Do you know the legend of the rite of passage, of the Cherokee Indian youth?

His father takes him into the woods, blindfolded and leaves him alone. He has the obligation to sit on a log all night and not remove the blindfold until the rays of sun shine through the morning.

He cannot ask for help from anyone. After surviving the night, he is a man. He can not talk to other guys about this experience, because every guy should enter their own masculinity.

The boy is naturally terrified. He can hear all kinds of noises. Wild beasts that roam around. Perhaps some human may harm him. Hear the wind blow and the grass rustling, he sits stoically on the log without removing the blindfold. Since it is the only way he can become a man.

Finally, after a horrible night, the sun appears and he removes the blindfold, that's when he discovers his father sitting beside him. His father watched all night, to protect his child from danger.

So, we're not ever alone. Although we do not know, someone is always watching over us, sitting on a stump beside us.
When problems arise, all we have to do is just trust.
