THE NATURE OF THINGS
Two monks were cleaning their bowl in the river when they saw a scorpion drowning. One of the monks took him quickly out and let him on the Riverside. During this process he was beaten. He continued cleaning his bowl and the scorpion felt again. The monk saved the scorpion and was beaten again.
The other monk asked him:
-My friend, why do you keep on saving the scorpion when you know that his nature is to beat?
The monk answered:
-Because my nature is to save him.
